Every now and then, I love to indulge in a series binge – and not only do I not feel guilty about lounging on the couch with snacks, but I also thoroughly enjoy it! I switch off my brain, relax, and recharge! Recently, I watched the latest season of Emily in Paris and am already eagerly waiting for the next one, especially since the storyline has moved to Italy, which I absolutely love! But that’s not what I wanted to write about today – I got distracted by something else. If you’ve watched the series, did you notice what Emily had on her bathroom shelf? Yes! She had two L’Occitane products! And not just any products – the most popular, best-selling, and legendary ones.
One of them is the Immortelle Reset Oil Serum, which I’ve had my eye on for a while now, secretly hoping I’ll find it in the L’Occitane advent calendar! The second product is the anti-aging Immortelle Divine Face Cream from the golden Immortelle line. And it’s this very product that we’re going to discuss today, as I had been eyeing it for quite some time and finally decided to treat myself to a full-size jar from Elnino!

I’ll try to contain my excitement and not start dancing around my laptop in a fit of praise, but… I can’t promise anything. You know me!
I’ve had excellent experiences with the blue sibling, the Immortelle Precieuse, which I like to buy in the fall because its scent is incredibly calming – almost zen-like! This time, however, I decided that with the upcoming year and my nearing forties, it might be time for a stronger anti-aging solution, so I decided to switch to the higher-end Immortelle Divine line. And that’s why I decided to test both the face cream and the eye balm (which I’ll talk about next time).

What L’Occitane says about the cream
“Our beloved Immortelle face cream leaves your skin as young as you feel. Its cashmere texture is now enhanced with an exclusive blend of immortelle, including immortelle super-extract, a natural alternative to retinol, which helps increase skin volume and structure; visibly affects wrinkles, firmness, vitality, evenness, and skin volume. The new formula also helps reduce age spots. The packaging is now more eco-friendly, made from 40% recycled glass, and we’ve removed the cellophane from the box. Dermatologically tested.”
Interesting Fact: Every 3 minutes, one Immortelle Divine cream is sold worldwide!
Packaging, Texture, and Scent
The beautiful golden-yellow packaging evokes a full bunch of immortelles, my favorite flowers in cosmetics. If it were up to me, I’d add sunny immortelle flowers to everything, because you won’t find such an effective plant against aging, wrinkles, sagging, and tired skin (and also tired minds!) anywhere else in nature. By the way, our little kitty, Daisynka, often smells like immortelles – we have a large meadow across the street, where immortelle (or Helichrysum italicum) grows. And when she’s prowling through the silvery bushes, trying to catch a lizard, her fur smells absolutely lovely! Oh, and by the way, immortelle is also a great repellent for fleas and ticks, so the little critters stay away from both of us, haha.

As for the packaging – it comes in a cute, plump yellow jar with a golden lid. You can use your fingers to scoop it out, or you can buy a stylish spatula if you prefer. I go back and forth on this – sometimes I can’t imagine life without a spatula, then I forget about it and live happily without it.
The texture is wonderfully buttery, so the cream doesn’t even budge when you tilt the jar (or even if you stand it on its lid), but it’s light and soft as a cloud. You can hardly feel it as you apply it to your skin! It absorbs excellently with a few gentle strokes of your fingertips, leaving your skin noticeably nourished, plumped, and silky smooth. Since the cream absorbs instantly without any greasy residue, you can even use it as a base for makeup or BB cream. It smooths your skin better than any primer!
As for the scent, I’d describe it as a strong, sweetened tea fragrance. Just like the blue Immortelle Precieuse line has its characteristic scent, the Immortelle Divine line does too. Whether you choose the cleansing foam, activating essence, eye and lip care (which I reviewed), or the cream and eye balm, you’ll be enveloped in the same fragrant cloud.
How to Use the Cream
Apply it morning and evening on clean skin, and don’t forget your neck. Gently massage the cream in three phases: from the center of your face outwards, from the tip of your nose upwards across your forehead to your hairline, and from your décolletage up to your chin. Remember this – it’s said to be the best way to massage your skin against wrinkles!

As for the amount, it depends on your personal preference. If you’re using a serum under the cream, don’t apply too much cream. If you’re using the cream alone and feel as dry as a fish, you can add a bit more. The ideal is to start with a smaller amount and only add more if needed. Try it out – you’ll see.
In my opinion, a jar of cream will comfortably last you 2-3 months with twice-daily use.

My Impressions from Testing
You know what’s the best thing about cosmetics? When they work from the very first use. You don’t need to stare at yourself in the mirror, trying to decipher whether you’ve noticed any changes or not… You simply use the product once, are blown away with excitement, and want to apply it from head to toe forever!
The Divine cream is an incredibly fragrant, delicate, and smoothing product that’s not only extra caring but also instantly beautifying. And having both of these qualities in one product is simply a genius move! I love this cream with all my chroust heart, and I actually look forward to using it every morning and evening. And over the past weeks, I haven’t once forgotten about it. I don’t have a problem remembering – I have a problem holding back from applying it every time I walk past the table. It’s that good!
My skin is visibly more beautiful, brighter, smoother, and softer to the touch… Considering I use premium-quality cosmetics, I would’ve thought there’s nothing left to improve. But look at that! Apparently, there’s always a new level to elevate it higher and higher and hiiigher!
Conclusion
I am absolutely thrilled with the Divine cream, incredibly in love with it, and I feel like I’ve discovered something truly magical for my skin. It suits my skin so well that it’s humming with contentment as if I had found the elixir of youth, or something! :o)
