Face cleansing foams have made their way through my blog for quite some time. Some were better, others worse, and a few left me completely floored. Where does L’Occitane’s Immortelle Cleansing Foam fall in this list, which I finished just last week? Definitely in the latter group! In fact, I wouldn’t hesitate to crown it with a metaphorical cosmetic Oscar because it was undoubtedly one of the best (if not the best) I’ve ever used.
I often visit the L’Occitane store in Zadar during sales events because a 20-30% discount is something my wallet certainly feels, and it’s absolutely worth it. Last year, they had a fantastic sale on makeup removers and cleansers. I grabbed the reliable cleansing oil and the cleansing foam. Why two products? So I could do a double cleansing routine, one oil-based, one water-based, in line with Korean skincare traditions. I love this kind of care, so when I’m choosing new cleansing products, I automatically think of pairing a hydrophilic cleansing oil with a foam or gel. This time, I opted for the foam.

Immortelle Everywhere!
If I were to count how many times I’ve raved about L’Occitane’s blue Immortelle range in my articles, I’d be here for a very long time. I regularly swoon over the characteristic fragrance and can never get enough of it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a cream, mask, toner, or foam; everything smells amazing!
The best description of the scent can be found in my review of the Immortelle Precieuse Face Cream. If you’re interested, feel free to check it out and daydream with me!
Aluminum Packaging and Rich, Creamy Texture
Here’s a funny story: when I first grabbed the foam, I didn’t notice that the bottle was made of aluminum! I picked it up in the store, tossed it into my basket, and continued shopping. It wasn’t until I got home, removed the plastic cap, and saw it… Well, surprise! But honestly, I didn’t have my eyes checked or anything like that – I simply grabbed the foam and didn’t think twice.
At first, I thought this would be a hassle since I wouldn’t be able to see how much foam was left and when I’d need to buy more. However, all my concerns were gone the moment I pressed the pump, and a surprisingly thick, creamy foam appeared in my hand, resembling shaving foam. The scent spread around immediately. As I spread it on my face, which I had already prepped with the cleansing oil, I knew: this was the luxurious experience! It felt so soft, indulgent, and absolutely delightful.

Note: When purchasing, make sure you grab the aluminum-packaged version. There are two Immortelle foams, and one has a plastic bottle and a different formulation, but the aluminum one is the one I recommend—it’s amazing!
A Foam That Cleans Like No Other
It’s incredible how something so gentle, fragrant, and natural can cleanse the face so thoroughly. And all this without leaving any tightness or dryness. Honestly, I haven’t encountered a better, more fragrant, or more effective cleansing foam than this one, and I still stand by that.
What I also loved was how my skin looked noticeably brighter and radiant after cleansing. Not oily, but as if I had turned on an inner light behind my face that glowed beautifully through my skin. It’s the kind of glow we usually fake with highlighters applied to the cheekbones, above the lips, or under the brows—but this foam does it naturally!

What’s in This Foam Miracle?
Let’s take a closer look at what makes this foam so perfect for daily skincare:
- Brightening & Radiance: Immortelle extract and essential oil are renowned for their regenerating and antioxidant properties. They boost skin’s radiance, fight dullness, and promote healing. Lentil extract is fantastic for refining pores and smoothing skin texture. Vitamins C and E protect the skin from free radicals and improve its luminous appearance.
- Hydration & Protection: Glycerin for extra hydration, leaving the skin soft and not tight after washing. Allantoin is soothing, helping with regeneration and eliminating irritation. Lecithin & Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate support hydration and maintain the skin’s protective barrier.
- Deep, Yet Gentle Cleansing: Coco-Glucoside is a mild, natural surfactant derived from coconut oil and sugar, which cleanses without drying. Triethanolamine stabilizes the foam’s pH and ensures its creamy texture.
- Rich, Whipped Foam: Butane, Propane, Isobutane create the heavenly, dense texture similar to shaving foam. Stearic and Palmitic Acids stabilize the foam, making it wonderfully fluffy yet rich.
L’Occitane Immortelle Cleansing Foam: Final Thoughts
It’s rare for me to feel genuinely sad when I finish a beauty product, but this foam did exactly that. I totally understand why it’s a bestseller on the Croatian e-shop.
It’s such a shame that you can’t smell how soft, thick, and fragrant the foam is through the screen! Ooooooooh! ❤︎ If I weren’t already testing other products, I’d definitely grab this foam again—it’s a guaranteed hit for me. I know that any time I purchase it in the future, I can count on it. And when I compare it to similar products I’ve used, I could easily imagine it costing even twice as much, and I wouldn’t think it’s overpriced.
I’m giving it a well-deserved spot in the metaphorical cosmetic Hall of Fame!

Pros and Cons
What I loved: The fantastic texture that feels like thick shaving foam. Just a quick press of the pump gives me the perfect amount of foam for my face, neck, and décolletage. The scent is irresistibly tempting for my olfactory senses; I absolutely adore the blue Immortelle range. The cleansing power is unbelievable, and even when I tried using a micellar water pad after cleansing to check for any leftover dirt, there was nothing. My skin was perfectly clean, radiant, and glowing, without being dry or tight. Perfect.
What I didn’t like: Honestly, nothing. I briefly considered mentioning that I couldn’t see how much foam was left in the bottle, but just like with shaving gels, the weight of the bottle gives you a clear indication of when it’s running out.
So that’s it for today! Do you have any experience with this foam? Do you use a facial cleansing foam, and do you also incorporate it into a double-cleansing routine? That’s a lot of questions today, right? 😊
